What was one of your Ancestor’s Favorite Songs?

Did you ever hear your grandma sing while visiting her?  Or when attending her church,  did she sing in the choir or did she sit with you and sing out her favorite hymns or did she just hum along? Stories concerning the songs and music of your ancestors are special antidotes that help to keep memories of that grandparent or aunt and uncle present in the history of the family.  

NOTE: Some ancestors asked for certain songs to be sung at their home going like the two songs I found in an obituary recently.  Speaking of which, have you made arrangements for your favorite hymns to be sung at your departing.
